  • Marketing by other Companies – We may share your details with other carefully selected companies who we feel may be of interest to you.
  • We work with Epsilon Abacus (registered as Epsilon International UK Ltd), a company that manages the Abacus Alliance on behalf of UK retailers and charities. The participating retailers are active in the clothing, collectables, food & wine, gardening, gadgets & entertainment, health & beauty, household goods, home interiors and travel categories. These retailers and charities share information about their customers and supporters and what they buy or donate. Epsilon Abacus processes this information as a processor on behalf of these companies to help them understand individuals’ behaviour and preferences. Epsilon combines information provided by participating retailers and charities with third party data. From this combined information, these companies can tailor their communications, sending individuals suitable offers and appeals that should be of interest to them.   • The data that we collect from you will be stored within the European Economic Area (EEA). Sometimes we work with external third parties who are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), so their processing of your Personal Data will involve transferring your data outside the EEA. Whenever we transfer your Personal Data out of the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

  • Lintbells acknowledges the CJEU judgment (C-311/18) invalidating the decision (2016/1250) on the adequacy of the protection provided by the EU-US Data Protection Shield (so called Privacy Shield decision). Lintbells is working with its third parties who self-certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield framework to implement another suitable data transfer mechanism for transferring Personal Data to the United States.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
    • If you are a consumer, please note that this Privacy Policy, its subject matter and its formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.  

 

  • If you are a business, this Privacy Policy, its subject matter and its formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
